- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup jam (or Nutella)
- Chocolate cream for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fill each muffin liner halfway with batter.
- Spoon a teaspoon of jam or Nutella into the center of each muffin.
- Cover the jam with more batter until the liners are about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating with chocolate cream in a fun swirl pattern.
