- 2 pounds ground chuck
- ½ cup crushed saltine crackers (or Panko breadcrumbs)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix by hand until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Press the mixture into a disk and divide into six 1/3-pound patties or twelve thinner patties.
- Shape patties slightly larger than burger buns and create a dent in the center of each patty.
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium heat (350-400°F).
- Grill or fry thicker patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or thinner patties for 2 minutes each side.
- Serve warm on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store cooked patties in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat gently in the oven or stovetop.
