Description

Delightful brown butter pumpkin cookies shaped like ghosts, perfect for fall gatherings and Halloween celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 batch Brown Butter and Maple Chewy Pumpkin Cookies
  • White chocolate
  • Black candy melts
  • Piping bag
  • Medium cookie scoop
  • Light colored baking pans

Instructions

  1. Bake the pumpkin cookies according to your favorite recipe or using the batch from Butternut Bakery, then allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Melt the white chocolate, preferably using Ghirardelli melting wafers for a smooth finish.
  3. Once cookies are cool, spoon a dollop of melted white chocolate onto the center of each cookie and spread it to create a ghost shape.
  4. Let the white chocolate set and harden.
  5. Melt the black candy melts and pour it into a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
  6. Pipe small dots for the eyes and a spooky mouth on each ghost cookie.
  7. Allow the candy melts to dry completely before enjoying your ghost cookies.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips or crushed nuts to the pumpkin cookie dough.
