Description
This oven baked salmon recipe is a delightful 35-minute dish that fills your home with warmth and offers a nourishing experience. Perfect for busy weeknights or special family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (2-pound) whole salmon fillet (skin-on preferred)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter (or olive oil)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lay a large piece of foil on a rimmed baking sheet and place the salmon fillet skin side down, pink side up.
- Crimp the edges of the foil around the salmon to create a ‘boat’ to hold in the juices.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic. Spread half of it over the salmon.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over the salmon and drizzle the remaining garlic butter on top.
- Bake the salmon for 15-22 minutes, basting with its own juices halfway through.
- After baking, let the salmon rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the salmon for the last couple of minutes. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice enhances the flavors.
