Description

A quick and flavorful casserole that combines ground beef, zesty salsa, and gooey cheese wrapped in a fluffy crescent roll crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) can Pillsbury crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup thick and chunky salsa
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and spray an 11 x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease and stir in salsa to moisten the meat.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture over the crescent roll dough and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  6. Cut into squares and serve with optional toppings.

Store leftovers tightly covered in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to two months.
