Description

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha
  • 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil (like canola or vegetable)
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. Shred cabbage, julienne carrots, and slice green onions; mince garlic and grate ginger.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil, ground beef, garlic, ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper; cook until the beef is browned.
  4. Add cabbage and carrots to the skillet, stirring until the cabbage is wilted.
  5. Stir in the sauce and green onions; mix well to ensure everything is coated.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and additional sriracha if desired; serve hot.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding water chestnuts or snap peas. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
