- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp sriracha
- 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil (like canola or vegetable)
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 Tbsp sriracha (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
- Shred cabbage, julienne carrots, and slice green onions; mince garlic and grate ginger.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil, ground beef, garlic, ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper; cook until the beef is browned.
- Add cabbage and carrots to the skillet, stirring until the cabbage is wilted.
- Stir in the sauce and green onions; mix well to ensure everything is coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and additional sriracha if desired; serve hot.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding water chestnuts or snap peas. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
