Description

Delightful and crispy churro bites coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for dipping in Nutella.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Nutella for dipping
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, stirring often.
  2. Once boiling, stir in the flour until a ball forms. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep pan to around 350°F (175°C).
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe small bites into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  6. In a bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then roll the fried churro bites in this mixture while warm.
  7. Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the frying pan for even cooking. Leftover churro bites can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
