Description
Delightful and crispy churro bites coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for dipping in Nutella.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Nutella for dipping
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, stirring often.
- Once boiling, stir in the flour until a ball forms. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan to around 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe small bites into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- In a bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then roll the fried churro bites in this mixture while warm.
- Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the frying pan for even cooking. Leftover churro bites can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
