Description
A creamy, velvety chocolate chia seed pudding that’s perfect for breakfast or a delightful evening treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3–5 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original Unsweetened (or light coconut milk for creamier texture)
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, add the cacao powder (sift first to reduce clumps), maple syrup, ground cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla extract. Whisk until nicely blended.
- Slowly add a little of the almond milk while whisking continuously until a thick paste forms.
- Add the rest of the almond milk and whisk until smooth and blended.
- Stir in the chia seeds, whisking to combine.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate overnight or for at least 3 to 5 hours.
- For best results, give it an extra stir or whisk after about 30-45 minutes in the fridge to prevent clumping.
- Enjoy chilled with your favorite toppings.
