Description
A delightful Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe that offers an irresistible cheesy pull, perfect for quick dinners or cozy nights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (14 oz) loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
- 1/4 cup salted butter (softened)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic (or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
- Cut two sheets of foil about 24 inches long and place them side by side on a rimmed cookie sheet, letting one overlap the other slightly. Lay the bread cut side up on the baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over both bread halves.
- Wrap the foil around the bread and crimp the edges together, then roll up the ends of the foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, open the foil, and sprinkle the bread evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Return the bread to the oven and bake uncovered for another 5 to 6 minutes. For a crispy finish, broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes watching closely.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for optimal flavor. Swap cheeses or add herbs for variation.
