Description

A delightful Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe that offers an irresistible cheesy pull, perfect for quick dinners or cozy nights.


Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter (softened)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (or 1 tsp granulated garlic)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Cut two sheets of foil about 24 inches long and place them side by side on a rimmed cookie sheet, letting one overlap the other slightly. Lay the bread cut side up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, stir together the softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over both bread halves.
  4. Wrap the foil around the bread and crimp the edges together, then roll up the ends of the foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, open the foil, and sprinkle the bread evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Return the bread to the oven and bake uncovered for another 5 to 6 minutes. For a crispy finish, broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes watching closely.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.
