Description

Indulge in rich, fudgy brownies topped with a light and airy chocolate mousse for the ultimate dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat, and stir in the eggs and vanilla until glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let the brownies cool completely.
  8. For the mousse layer, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold in the melted chocolate chips and powdered sugar.
  9. Spread the mousse mixture evenly over the cooled brownies and chill in the refrigerator until set, about 2 hours.
  10. Cut into squares and enjoy.

Notes

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
