Description
A hearty and comforting stew perfect for family meals, packed with tender beef and flavorful potatoes, all cooked slowly in a crock pot.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs stew meat, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- 4 potatoes (Russet, peeled and diced)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup A1 steak sauce (or any brown steak sauce)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 Tbsp steak seasoning
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Chop the red onion and potatoes into bite-size chunks.
- Place them into the crock pot.
- Top with the stew meat.
- Season with minced garlic and steak seasoning.
- Pour A1 steak sauce and beef broth over the top and stir well.
- Add the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl, stir into the crock pot for the last hour on low or 30 minutes on high.
- Remove and serve in bowls.
Notes
For extra flavor, sear the beef beforehand. Consider pairing with crusty bread and a fresh salad.
