Description

A hands-off, flavor-packed comfort food masterpiece that layers frozen cheese ravioli with savory meat sauce and melty cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (24 oz) pasta sauce
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain the excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.
  2. Stir in the pasta sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes, letting all those flavors deepen.
  3. In a greased slow cooker, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce, just enough to coat the bottom.
  4. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  5. Top with half of the remaining meat sauce, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over it.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing off with the remaining cheese on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, until everything is heated through and that cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegetarian version, skip the meat or use sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, or lentils. You can also experiment with different cheeses or spices to suit your taste.
