Description
A hearty French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole, perfect for family meals with gooey cheese and tender rice.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 to 1 tsp garlic salt
- 2 (10.5 ounce) cans beef consommé
- 2 (10.5 ounce) cans French onion soup
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 cups long-grain white rice, uncooked
- 3/4 cup butter (1 and 1/2 stick)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Spray a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef seasoned with garlic salt until browned.
- In the baking dish, combine rice and cooked ground beef evenly.
- Pour in beef consommé, French onion soup, and water and stir.
- Slice butter and place on top of the mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 30 minutes until golden.
- Fluff rice with a fork before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
