- 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- ½ teaspoon EACH: onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt/Pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¾ cup dry white wine
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine the sauce ingredients in a large measuring cup and set aside.
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pound to about ½ inch thick.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Add white wine to the skillet, scraping the bottom for flavor, and let it bubble for 2 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add butter and flour, stirring well, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually pour in the sauce mixture, stirring until it boils, then lower the heat and simmer for 8 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and add lemon juice, stirring well.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce on top, and heat through for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve garnished with parsley.
Notes
Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or buttery rice, and roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
