Description

A cozy family-friendly chicken dish packed with flavor and nutrients, featuring garlic and Parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon EACH: onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt/Pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ cup dry white wine
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the sauce ingredients in a large measuring cup and set aside.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pound to about ½ inch thick.
  3. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  5. Add white wine to the skillet, scraping the bottom for flavor, and let it bubble for 2 minutes.
  6. Add minced garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add butter and flour, stirring well, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Gradually pour in the sauce mixture, stirring until it boils, then lower the heat and simmer for 8 minutes.
  9. Reduce heat to low, sprinkle in Parmesan cheese and add lemon juice, stirring well.
  10. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce on top, and heat through for an additional 5 minutes.
  11. Serve garnished with parsley.

Notes

Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or buttery rice, and roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
