- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 oz provolone cheese or cheese whiz
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Cook ground beef in the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper until browned.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the cooked beef and onions in the toasted hoagie rolls.
- Top with melted provolone cheese or cheese whiz.
- Bake sandwiches on a baking sheet for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
