Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  2. Crumble ground turkey into the skillet and cook until it turns golden brown, 7 to 10 minutes. Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to season.
  3. Stir in diced potatoes, cover the skillet, and let simmer for 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  4. Fold in frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes to warm through.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
