Description

Delicious and festive whoopie pies filled with creamy orange icing, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup orange icing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Sprinkles or Halloween-themed decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the devil’s food cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Spread a generous amount of orange icing on the flat side of half the whoopie pies, then top with another pie to create a sandwich.
  6. Sprinkle with Halloween-themed decorations as desired. Enjoy!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
