Description

A delicious and healthy beef and broccoli stir-fry that delivers a hearty meal packed with protein and essential vitamins.


Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds Beef (Top Round)
  • 2 Teaspoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil (1 for cooking, 1 for sauce)
  • 2 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • ¼ Cup Low Sodium Bone Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar Substitute
  • 4 Tablespoons Low Sodium Oyster Sauce
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
  • 2 Tablespoons Cold Water
  • 1 Head Broccoli (approx. 450g)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and minced garlic, sauté until browned (about 5 minutes).
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the bone broth, remaining sesame oil, brown sugar substitute, oyster sauce, ground ginger, cornstarch, and cold water.
  5. Add broccoli to the pan with cooked beef and stir in the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until broccoli is tender.
  6. Serve hot, over rice or noodles if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the beef for a couple of hours or overnight. You can use frozen broccoli if needed, just thaw it first.
