- 2 Pounds Beef (Top Round)
- 2 Teaspoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil (1 for cooking, 1 for sauce)
- 2 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
- ¼ Cup Low Sodium Bone Broth
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar Substitute
- 4 Tablespoons Low Sodium Oyster Sauce
- 1 ½ Teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch
- 2 Tablespoons Cold Water
- 1 Head Broccoli (approx. 450g)
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
- Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and minced garlic, sauté until browned (about 5 minutes).
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the bone broth, remaining sesame oil, brown sugar substitute, oyster sauce, ground ginger, cornstarch, and cold water.
- Add broccoli to the pan with cooked beef and stir in the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until broccoli is tender.
- Serve hot, over rice or noodles if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the beef for a couple of hours or overnight. You can use frozen broccoli if needed, just thaw it first.
