- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars together for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in oats, chocolate chips, and pecans.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underdone.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewiness, chill the dough for at least an hour before baking.
