- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 4 russet potatoes (peeled and diced)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Brown the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat and drain any remaining fat.
- Add the browned sausage to your crock pot.
- Place in the minced garlic, onion, diced potatoes, salt, pepper, and chicken broth into the crock pot. Stir everything to mix.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
- Stir in the heavy whipping cream. Cover and cook on low for 10-15 more minutes until the cream is heated through.
- Serve warm topped with parmesan cheese.
Notes
This soup can be refrigerated for up to 5 days. Be sure to store leftovers in an airtight container.
