Description

A quick and flavorful chicken dish that combines the sweetness of honey and the heat of hot sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into ½ inch strips
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients to set yourself up for success.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic together in a small bowl; set sauce aside.
  3. Lightly season chicken with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir until browned, about 1 minute per side.
  5. Pour sauce over chicken; simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens, 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy! Garnish with some sesame seeds or chopped green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
