- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1–2 tablespoons hot sauce (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk, mixing until just combined, then roll out the dough and cut into biscuit shapes.
- Place biscuits on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Marinate chicken tenders in buttermilk for about 30 minutes.
- Combine breadcrumbs, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Dredge marinated chicken tenders in this mixture.
- Fry the chicken tenders in hot oil until golden and crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Heat honey and hot sauce in a saucepan for the drizzle.
- Serve crispy fried chicken on warm biscuits and drizzle with hot honey.
Notes
For extra flaky biscuits, use very cold butter and avoid over-mixing the dough.
