- 450 grams Boneless Chicken Leg and Thigh Meat
- 80 grams Streaky Bacon
- 200 grams White Mushrooms
- 50 grams Cream Cheese
- 100 grams Cheddar Cheese
- 100 grams Shredded Mozzarella
- 100 ml Heavy Cream
- 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tsp Onion & Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
- Salt to Taste
- 1 Tsp Chopped Parsley
Instructions
- Chop the bacon into small pieces and do the same for the chicken and mushrooms. Grate the cheddar cheese and chop the parsley.
- In a cold frying pan, add the bacon and turn on the stove to medium heat. Cook until crispy and set aside.
- With some bacon fat in the pan, add the chicken pieces seasoned with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Once the chicken is nearly done, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté. If needed, add a splash of water to create a cheese sauce with the cream cheese and cheddar.
- Add the heavy cream for a thicker sauce. Stir in chopped parsley and transfer everything into an oven-proof dish.
- Top with crispy bacon and shredded mozzarella, then bake in a preheated oven until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
This casserole pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
