Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate melting wafers
  • Holly berry sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and light, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add the maple syrup and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, taking care not to over-mix.
  6. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Portion the dough into 1.5-ounce balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  10. Dip half of each cooled cookie into melted chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
  11. Drizzle any remaining melted chocolate over the cookies and sprinkle with holly berry decorations.

Notes

For a nutty flavor, consider browning the butter before mixing. For added texture, mix in chopped pecans or walnuts.
