Description

Soft and chewy Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies with a rich texture and powdered sugar crackle, perfect for cozy moments.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • Powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until blended.
  3. In another bowl, combine the vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until mixed.
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir gently until a soft dough forms.
  5. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop the chilled dough and roll it into small balls, then coat each ball in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the cookies on the baking sheet with ample space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
