Description

A playful twist on the classic Caprese salad, featuring mozzarella skulls and vibrant tomatoes, perfect for Halloween gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Cocktail tomatoes
  • Pearl mozzarella balls (for mini skulls)
  • Regular mozzarella balls (for larger skulls)
  • Organic extra virgin olive oil
  • Organic balsamic vinegar
  • Organic balsamic glaze
  • Flaky salt
  • Ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Fill mini silicone molds with pearl mozzarella cheese, pressing firmly to hold shape. Do the same with regular mozzarella balls in larger skull molds.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F and place molds in a baking dish. Bake for about 8 minutes to soften cheese.
  3. Let mozzarella cool for 5 minutes, then pop out of molds and refrigerate for another 5-10 minutes to firm up.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced cherry and cocktail tomatoes, then add cooled cheese skulls.
  5. Drizzle with organic extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, add balsamic glaze, and toss in fresh basil. Season with flaky salt and pepper.
  6. Chill until ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust mozzarella skull sizes based on molds available. Drizzle balsamic glaze before serving for presentation.
