A comforting slow cooker chicken and gravy dish that’s protein-rich and perfect for weeknight meals.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1.74 oz. dry chicken gravy mix (two .87 oz. packets)
- 10.75 oz. can cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. water (for slurry)
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Instructions
- Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, water, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the pot.
- If the gravy is thin, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for an additional 10 minutes to thicken.
Notes
Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for a hearty meal. It’s great with seasonal root vegetables on the side.
