Description

A quick and flavorful chicken wonton soup made with tender wontons and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups bok choy, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix ground chicken, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Place about 1 teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over to form a triangle, and press to seal.
  4. Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot.
  5. Add wontons and mushrooms to the broth and cook until the wontons float, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add bok choy, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Best eaten fresh on the same day; wrappers soften if they sit. Ensure wontons are sealed tightly to prevent filling from leaking.
