- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup pasta (like macaroni or fusilli)
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent for about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and add the diced tomatoes, sliced carrots, celery, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil for 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the pasta, reduce heat, and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
