Description

A hearty one-pot meal featuring ground beef, pasta, and vegetables in a flavorful broth, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup pasta (like macaroni or fusilli)
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and add the diced tomatoes, sliced carrots, celery, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the pasta, reduce heat, and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Best eaten fresh the same day; reheats on the stove with a splash of broth if needed.
