Ingredients

- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until chunky but not completely smooth.
- Add the breadcrumbs, sage, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Form the mixture into small sausage-shaped links or patties, about 2 inches long.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the sausage links.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Ensure chickpeas are well-drained to avoid a watery mixture. Let the links rest for 10 minutes after forming for better shape retention while cooking.
