Description

A delightful banana bread with a creamy cream cheese filling swirled throughout, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan to ensure easy removal after baking.
  2. Mash the bananas until smooth; the more ripe they are, the easier they will be to mash.
  3. Stir in the sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just blended.
  6. Mix the softened cream cheese with a tablespoon of sugar until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the greased loaf pan.
  8. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  9. Add the remaining banana bread batter on top, covering the cream cheese completely.
  10. Swirl the batter gently with a knife.
  11. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Ensure bananas are very ripe for best flavor and moisture. Allow loaf to cool before slicing for clean cuts.
