Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, overlapping slightly.
- Combine heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper in a saucepan, and heat until warm.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, followed by half of the cheese.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese, ensuring the top is well covered.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
- Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with herbs, and serve.
