Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup olives, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Sauté the chopped onion and bell pepper until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, cooking it until browned and no longer pink.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, olives, raisins, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Let everything simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Serve hot over a bed of rice.
Notes
For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.
