Description
A quick and flavorful dish of ground beef transformed with a sweet and spicy glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until it’s no longer pink.
- Drain excess fat while keeping some for flavor, about a tablespoon.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, garlic powder, minced ginger, and sesame oil; the mixture will become fragrant as you cook.
- Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste. Let cook for another minute.
- Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
Be careful not to overcook the beef; aim for browning without drying it out. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
