Description

A quick and flavorful dish of ground beef transformed with a sweet and spicy glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until it’s no longer pink.
  2. Drain excess fat while keeping some for flavor, about a tablespoon.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, garlic powder, minced ginger, and sesame oil; the mixture will become fragrant as you cook.
  4. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste. Let cook for another minute.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the beef; aim for browning without drying it out. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
