- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 medium potato (mashed)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine cooked lentils, grated carrots, chopped onion, mashed potato, and minced garlic in a mixing bowl until the mixture is uniform with no dry spots.
- Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, pressing them firmly to ensure they hold their shape as they cook.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil before serving.
Notes
Serve with a fresh green salad or in a sandwich for a delightful meal. For variations, consider using chickpeas or different vegetables.
