- 1 Onion, sliced
- 4–5 Yukon Gold Potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup Cheese (Gruyère recommended)
- 1 cup Cream
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet and sauté the onion until soft and translucent.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle sautéed onions on top of the potatoes.
- Mix cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl and pour over the potatoes.
- Top with cheese, making sure to cover evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until tender and golden.

Ensure potato slices are uniform for even cooking. For a crispy top, broil briefly at the end.
