Description

Delicious and easy Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches made with tender beef chuck roast, perfect for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Provolone cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and beef broth to the pot.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the beef is tender.
  5. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks, taking care to soak up the juices.
  6. Return the shredded beef to the pot and stir to combine with the juices.
  7. Serve the beef on hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese if desired.
  8. Serve with a small bowl of the cooking liquid for dipping.

Notes

Browning the roast adds depth of flavor. Adjust seasoning as needed to prevent overpowering saltiness.
