- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and drain excess fat.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Spread the cooked ground beef over the potatoes, followed by half of the cream of mushroom soup.
- Add another layer of remaining potatoes, then top with the remaining soup.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
Slice potatoes thinly to ensure even cooking. Consider adding fresh herbs for extra flavor.
